4th & orange

Taking its moniker from the Long Beach street corner, 4th & Orange has fast earned a fervent fan following with its intoxicating hybrid of sound – an inspired and inventive strain spiced by equal parts hip-hop, pop, rock, and cool reggae. The Long Beach, CA-based outfit was co-founded by longtime friends Garrett Douglas and Chris “DJ Irey” Garcia with a goal of merging inspiration from hometown heroes, Sublime, with their own unique style to create something altogether new and utterly irresistible. Tracks like their debut breakthrough single, “Girl Next Door,” see Douglas’ potent storytelling fused with crafty rhythms and incandescent pop melodies, resulting in an undeniably universal pop approach – the official video boasting more than 2.5 million views.

“We're a perfect example of what happens when you grow up in such a diverse place like Long Beach. Opposite sounds start to blend, stories range through so many relatable lessons, and differences are almost pushed aside completely so we can figure out how to come together and form a band that will reach almost every type of listener.”

First and foremost for 4th & Orange is, of course, the music. Further track releases are slated into 2020, with their debut full-length project soon to follow. Through it all, 4th & Orange is determined to spread the California love from coast to coast, their own extraordinary journey uniquely enabling them to offer positive vibrations and luminous energy wherever they may travel – including confirmed festival performances at Reggae Rise Up Festival in St. Petersburg, FL, Reggae Rise Up Festival in Las Vegas, NV, One Love Cali Reggae Festival in Long Beach, CA, and Chandler, AZ’s Arizona Roots Festival.

“The goal of our music is to bring light to others in dark situations,” says Douglas. “Both Iry and I came from a rough past, but that’s how we connected and created 4th & Orange. Our music reminds others that in the dark you can be the light.”

KILLBOY

WHODAFUCC IS KILLBOY?

Purple-haired, mullet-rockin’, Mexican-American, singer-songwriter, record producer, engineer, musician, music video director, visual artist… Her music incorporates elements of varied styles and genres including, but not limited to, melodic anti-pop, hip-hop, funk, electro, alternative and punk. It’s a distinctive blend she coins Evil Pop.

Killboy initially gained recognition for the bedroom-produced single “WHEREDAFUCC” in December 2019. 2020 followed with “HIGH ON MY OWN SUPPLY,” “JUST ME,” “666” and “THATS OK I’LL JUST FUCK MYSELF.” She continued with the random emotional pop-rock ballad “HOW U GON” and the even more random (and unexplainable) “White Claw Outlaw,” whose music video features a mustached KILLBOY riding buckin’ White Claw broncos throughout the wild, wild west.

The first of a steady stream of singles in 2021, her latest drop “U + ME” showcases one smooth electric guitar loop straight from her ebony Gibson Les Paul with satisfying walls of crispy vocal harmony, trunk rumbling 808s and a sprinkle of (fan-proclaimed) “gay space magic.”

POE LEOS

Singer-songwriter Poe Leos likes to refer to her sound as Pop-Latin, a genre of music made for as an homage to the language that gave her a voice to transform the struggles she’s faced into positive story-telling. Born in Mexico and raised in Illinois, Poe Leos grew up in a Spanish-speaking household with a single mother who encouraged her to hold onto the language of her heritage. She spent her youth drawing influence from musicians like Miguel, Romeo Santos and Neyo - clearly noted in Poe Leos’ affinity for smooth R&B.

The 20 year old, self-made artist gained a following for herself by singing at local birthday parties. “I would go to Quinceneras and Sweet 16 parties, even if I wasn’t invited, just to sing happy birthday, ” she remembers. One of these instances, with the universe on her side, the birthday girl happened  be the daughter of a local music manager who took Poe under his wing immediately. With the solidarity of a mentor, she began teaching herself how to play the guitar, piano and how to produce her own music.

Today, all of her hard work comes to fruition with the signing to Atlantic Records and management through LA-based Latium Entertainment. The rising pop artist celebrates this moment with her debut major label single, “Pop Star.” While the breakout track showcases a fun and confident side of Poe Leos, her one true goal is to use her music to connect with fans on a deeper level.

I want my fans to know that they can do it too. Especially seeing someone that looks like them doing it. I want to send a message to anyone listening to this song and remind them that their dreams aren’t out of reach.”
